Title: Inspired by Indias Landscapes
Description:
Speaker: Dr. Rita Gardner, CBE, Director, Royal Geographical Society
Chair: Shri Ravi Bhoothalingam
Driving alone across India thirty years ago as a student, sparked an enduring fascination with India’s landscapes and a lifelong passion to inspire people to study a, enjoy and explore the world’s environment. Today, as Director of the Royal Geographical Society, Rita talks about her experience, about engaging people in understanding our changing world, and why it is more important than ever that young people in the UK and India are stimulated by geography and encouraged to travel with open eyes and an enquiring mind
