Title: Asia: Speaking to Ourselves - Asian Media Conference

    Inaugural session of

Asia: Speaking to Ourselves - Asian Media Conference

    Conference Coordinator: Shri Suhas Borker

The Asian Media Conference (AMC) explores media connectivity in Asia.  Why
media exchanges in Asia are still dependent on media hubs in New York,
London or Paris, leading to homogenization of news content?  New media
technologies offer never seen before gateways of instant communication.
Will a direct and close connectivity of media in Asia strengthen the Asian
paradigm of diversity and pluralism, spur the process of physical
connectivity, bring about a mindset change and concretize the vision of an
    Asian Community?
